The Mediators' New Breakfast Club on 13 September 2011 was addressed, by Christopher Young, who has been marketeer in both City law firms and the world of mediation. He emphasized the need, in marketing professional services in general and mediation in particular, to focus on as few as 30 clients and contacts and the need to contact these regularly and maintain dialogue with them. He also emphasized that these 30 clients and contacts needed to be reviewed and perhaps that 10 might be changed over a year. This was well-received by the 25 or so mediators present.
The next meeting has now been fixed for 0845 on Tuesday 15 November 2011 at the Punch Tavern, 99 Fleet Street, London EC4. The speaker will be Mathew Rushton, the former Editor of The Mediator Magazine and now Deputy-Managing Director of JAMS International. A lively session is in prospect and all mediators and those interested in dispute resolution are welcome.
