On 16 September 2010, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in association with PA Consulting Group and fellow industry peers will be hosting an evening seminar on legal advocacy in the fast-moving telecoms sector. Key note speakers will include Michael Cover FCIArb, Barrister, Accredited Mediator and Chartered Arbitrator; Tim Devine, PA Consulting Group and; Richard Stephens FCIArb, LORS.
This evening seminar will examine the role of Expert Witnesses in the fast moving technology, media and telecoms sector. The seminar will explore the role of expert witnesses from three angles; using expert witnesses, being an expert witness and taking expert witness testimony as an arbitrator. It will also provide an opportunity to network with experts in the field from across the legal world and industry.
Michael Cover will deliver a presentation on what the legal world wants from Expert Witnesses particularly in a large international dispute. Michael Cover is one of the best-qualified non court-based dispute resolvers in the world, with his distinctive experience he is often called on to provide insight into the world of arbitration.
